When the house is messy, there should be a law that says... No one allowed to stop by with out a permission slip !! ( and those permission slips will have amazingly vanished into thin air !) We stayed home today after the week long of driving kidlets around on the bus, both of us dog tired from the long hours and bumpy roads. Nothing got done at the house this week and I do mean NOTHING !! There was dog hair in every corner, dishes in the sink, toys in the living room not to mention what ever else got left out in the week. And in our defense, Kevins back was killing him and I had a migraine all morning.
So anyway, we went to the small store in town to get some comfort food and something for dinner and we come home to my parents in the driveway. I gulped thinking oh god, they saw us, no way out of this ! so we let them in the house as I madly ran around trying to close doors and pick up stuff here and there. It's too late, they are inside. well, needless to say I was mortified, they were disgusted and they left quick. (Thank god they didn't need to use the bathroom !) So here I am with my strong drink and my comfort food drowning my sorrows and shame. I'm sorry mom and dad, I really did have a migraine this morning on my first day off this week. Ok, I'll go climb under my rock after I clean up the house !
