When I get a new crafting idea, I study how it's done, buy what I need to do it- in excess and then finally get around to doing the craft. I think that one of my troubles is that sometimes, the getting ready is the most fun and then I sit and stare at my supplies for a while contemplating what the finished craft will look like. I did that very thing again this time. I decided that I wanted to try making things out of resin so I looked up all the info I could find on it. Then I went to Amazon and bought a couple of books about it all. Well, 4 in all and they were all duplicates lol Two of one book and two of the other. In my own defense, they were both kind of mistakes. One book was totally different on the outside of the matching and the ISBN number was different too. I was so excited when I got the second one, opened it up and started thinking- hey, I've seen these designs before. Then I compared books and realized that just the outside was different. I sent that one back instantly. The other was a slight mistake too. I bought the first one and then realized that I some how got the one without the DVD so had to buy it again with the DVD. I guess I will sell the mistake one on my web site. I took too long to return it, oh well. So here I sat reading, getting supplies and chicken to try it. (did I mention that the dog chewed up one of my molds too while I waited ?) ( look for these on the Etsy site soon)
Finally I sat down today and did my first pour. what fun !!! After I cleaned up my mess, I made tomorrows dinner in the crock pot, grabbed my purse and off we went shopping for tires and stuff. I needed a new shirt because I will be on a quaint NH TV show sometime soon and they are filming it this week. Fun huh ?? Anyway... We stopped at one tire place and they only wanted a mere $1200.00 for the tires etc.(besides the guy was a grumpy jerk) We said thanks, we'll think about it. We went to Sams Club and found some nice one's, Kevin gave in and we got them on the spot. So just over $600.00 later, we left with new tires on the Beast and he was happy. Now the truck isn't trying to pull off the road at every cliff and it handles so nice. Wow !! Nice day all in all. New tires, new resin stuff poured, waiting to be removed in the morning when it's hard. Life is good. Oh and I get Joey for a extra week. WooHoo !! :-)

Sounds like a good day, and you got a deal on your tires, too! :)
Can't wait to see those resin things made into some jewelry. Very pretty! :)
