fine feathered friends
well, I forgot to post this last week but then I also didn't want the Ornament Swap to get lost is the posts either. Anyway, we added to our flock a week ago and when Joey came home last Wednesday, I took some photos of them. This is the new call ducks.
they are male and female so maybe we will get lucky and have some ducklings to sell in the spring. Funny, I looked them up on line and it said they could fly very well. They weren't kidding ! I looked out the window last week to see one flying around the yard. I thought 'there she goes' but she flew back into the yard and then I clipped her wings so that won't be happening again ! Then Joey went out to see them and found these old beads in the pen and proceeded to put them on the chickens to wear. Don't all the chickens need a pair of beads to wear to their next outing ?? lol He had fun and we took the beads out when we were done dressing up the chickens.
Oh one more photo... Joey had his Halloween party at school and then went to his fathers that night to trick or treat (and then they came to our town anyway even thought they live in another town) So I had to supply his costume for school and trick or treating this year. He wanted to be silly for school with orange hair and alot of bling on as well so that's what he got ! His cheeks are red as well since he had his flu shot that Wed. and had a red cheek reaction to it. I have to say that I stayed home that night and hid from trick or treaters that night because I was missing out on sharing it with Joey. There's always next year !!

What a cutie! :) Sorry he reacted badly to the flu shot - poor little guy!
When Melissa gets back from her craft fair we'll get her to post about the ornament swap - I'm sure she'll want int, too, so that's three. Two more and we're good, right?

He just got red cheeks and some spots, nothing that bad. After my friends nephew died this year from the flu, I wasn't going to take any chances with it. I think his father reacted more than Joey did. I can't wait to see what everyone does for ornaments, I've been so busy doing the Etsy shop that I need to change gears to do ornaments. Melissa should post a photo of her crafts from the fair, does she just do the hats ? Love them !
Hey Lisa, - love that orange hair! Too funny. And the dressed up fowl. Joey is silly.
Hey, girl, I nominated you for an award - check out my blog!
